LEGAL NOTICE TO BIDDERS

 

Sealed BIDS will be received by THE BOARD OF LAKE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, in and for Lake County, Ohio, at their offices in the Lake County Administration Center, 105 Main Street, Painesville, Ohio up to the hour of 11:00 a.m. local time on Wednesday 16th day of July, 2008, and read publicly thereafter in the Commissioners’ Chambers, for the following:

 

BIDS FOR A RAPID DEPLOYMENT HAZARDOUS ENVIRONMENT DETECTION SYSTEM

 

Plans, specifications or an itemized list of supplies, facilities or equipment, estimated quantities and Instructions to Bidders can be obtained and reviewed at the office of Lake County Board of Commissioners located at 105 Main Street, during the weekday office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

 

Proposal shall be addressed to the Board of Lake County Commissioners, Lake County Administration Center, 105 Main Street-4th floor, Painesville, Ohio 44077, and marked “RAPID DEPLOYMENT HAZARDOUS ENVIRONMENT DETECTION SYSTEM”.

 

Each BID must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of an original Certified Check, Cashiers Check, Money Order, or by an original Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount BID. Such guarantee shall be made payable to or in favor of the BOARD OF LAKE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, and will be held as a guarantee that in the event the BID is accepted and a contract awarded to the BIDDER, the Contract will be duly executed and its performance properly secured.

 

No bidder shall be considered the lowest and best bidder or eligible to be awarded the contract to which this Notice or Bid Specifications apply, if the bidder is listed on the Auditor of State’s Database as having a “Finding of Recovery” as that term is defined in R.C. 9.24.  No bidder shall be considered the lowest and best bidder or eligible to be awarded the contract to which this Notice or Bid Specifications apply unless the bidder has completed a certification that the bidder is in compliance with R.C. 3517.13.  A copy of the certification is included with the instructions to bidders and must be submitted with the bid.

 

Lake County reserves the right to reject any and all BIDS or to increase or decrease or omit any item or items and to award to the lowest and best BIDDER. Each proposal must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same. The Lake County Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the BIDDING.
