LEGAL NOTICE TO BIDDERS

 

Sealed Bids will be received by the Board of Lake County Commissioners, in and for Lake County, Ohio, at their offices in the Lake County Administration Center, 105 Main Street, Painesville, Ohio, up to the hour of 11:00 AM, local time on the 30th day of July, 2008 and read publicly thereafter for the following:

 

LEASING OF STORAGE FACILITY SPACE

 FOR VOTING MACHINES FOR THE LAKE COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS

 

Specifications and bid proposal forms are on file in and may be obtained from the office of the Lake County Commissioners’ Office, 105 Main Street, Painesville, Ohio 44077, during the weekday office hours of 8 am to 4:30 pm.

 

Each BID must be accompanied by bid guarantee in the form of an original Certified Check, Cashiers Check, Money Order, or by an original Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid.  Such check or bid bond shall be made payable to the Board of Lake County Commissioners, signed by a Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Ohio, said bond or check will be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted the bidder will execute a contract in conformity to the invitation and the bid.  Each proposal must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same.


     Bid proposals should be addressed to the Board of Lake County Commissioners, Lake County Administration Center, 105 Main Street, Painesville, Ohio, 44077, and marked as follows:

      The statutory requirements of the State of Ohio relative to the licensing of corporations organized under the laws of other states will apply.

 

     No bidder shall be considered the lowest and best bidder or eligible to be awarded the contract to which this Notice or Bid Specifications apply, if the bidder is listed on the Auditor of State’s Database as having a “Finding of Recovery” as that term is defined in R.C. 9.24.  No bidder shall be considered the lowest and best bidder or eligible to be awarded the contract to which this Notice or Bid Specifications apply unless the bidder has completed a certification that the bidder is in compliance with R.C. 3517.13.  A copy of the certification is included with the instructions to bidders and must be submitted with the bid.

 

     The Board of Lake County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids or portions thereof and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding or increase or decrease any items, omit items and or award to the lowest and best responsive bidder.
